Saturday Night Spades Game

photoChicagoland Card Players

We have been having so much fun that we are adding another night where we don't have to wake up early for work the next morning!

We will be meeting at Marcia's condo on the North side of Rogers Park. Cozy, good booze (supplemented by what you bring!), music... we can eat, relax, and hang out. Please bring $5-$10 for pizza if she decides against cooking... although this is unlikely.

We will send her specific address out to players who have RSVPd as we get closer to the event. It is a short walk from the Howard stop if you are taking the red (or purple) line. Also, there is free on-street parking.

FYI - Marcia lives on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators. Also, she has 2 cats but we can lock them in the bedroom if requested and there are hardwood floors so people with minor allergies usually don't have a problem.

Questions or comments - email or call.
Marcia at 773-682-8941

PS ~ If you plan on drinking, please bring your own or something to share :-) Also, it would be great for you to bring something to snack on. We usually have a collection of cookies, veggies, and dips from all the nice folks who share. Marcia usually provides an appetizer and a main dish.

PPS ~ We are now charging a few dollars for the game... Marcia provides a LOT at these games - so we are requiring $5 now, please offer it up!

Learn and Play Pinochle at Panera in Kenmore!

photoThe Buffalo Gamers Society!

Let's get together for a friendly game of single-deck Pinochle - I have been playing since I was 15 (just a few years ago ;)), and can show you how to play!

If you are a hard-core player, this isn't for you!

Please come if you are wanting to learn or brush up your skills and then join in on a fun game of pinochle or three!

Pinochle is one of my favorite games!

Hope to see you there!

Thursday Night Gaming at Buff State

photoThe Buffalo Gamers Society!

Buff State gaming is another geek-focused venue of options. Can't play on Saturday RPG events? Try gaming here! Want to play a quick game of cards while waiting for your RPG group to arrive? This is the place! Don't care for Panera Bread? This just may be the venue for you! We especially are trying to focus on establishing a good Warhammer 40k presence here, as well as a good place to try experimental games, time and space-consuming games, and anything else that doesn't fall into the Casual Game Night at Panera Bread category.

You can park in lot B without worrying about being ticketed and a map of the campus can be found here. You'll be able to find us in room 218 of Ketchum hall and we'll set you up from there.

Please note: If you are just looking for a casual game of, say, Scrabble, or maybe cards - the Casual Game Nights at Panera bread were established for just that purpose, so please try and attend those events - we'd LOVE to have you there!

Casual Game Night at Panera on Niagara Falls Boulevard!!

photoThe Buffalo Gamers Society!

Casual Game Night is your chance to play new and old favourites - card or board game, there are no restrictions on the type of game. Whether it's Chess, Uno, Fluxx, Monopoly, or something more European (Eurogames) like Settlers of Catan and Carcassone - this is the event to play it at!

Friday Casual Game Nights are at the Panera Bread cafe on Niagara Falls Boulevard, across from Barnes & Noble so we can get an hour longer to play as they are open until 10:00pm.

Typically we attempt to grab the largest table in the venue (Mixed results on this.) It's the large table in front of the fireplace - but if need be we spread ourselves out and play whatever.

I haul 2 whole large bags, packed full of games, to the event, so if you have no games of your own that is fine.

There IS a small purchase required for everybody at the venue, as Panera Bread requires the purchase of at least a soft drink.

Anyways, it makes for a pleasant, and very fun, Friday evening, and hope to see some of you there!
